Viv&Ingrid designer loves a spa day in Calistoga, killer tacos in Oakland When Wang became pregnant about two years ago, they figured she’d take a nice, long maternity leave and return to work alongside Chen, the CEO, like always. Fortunately, the jewelry line – with its signature thin gold hoops rimmed with tiny gemstones, and barely there necklaces with delicate charms – is thriving. The locally made pieces are frequently featured in national magazines and sold in about 300 specialty boutiques in the U.S., as well as Japan and the United Kingdom. When she’s not wearing her own jewelry, Chen wears an antique brass tiger’s head ring with crystal eyes.
